A global energy and tech recruitment company has made a ‘game changing’ appointment to help strengthen the firm’s roots in the American market. Highly experienced energy professional Jeanne Farias has been appointed by Visuna as the company’s regional director for the USA.
The company, which has a US base in Houston, is a specialist in staffing solutions, global mobility and talent acquisition and Jeanne will bring almost 20 years of experience to the firm’s largely female workforce, as Visuna continues to expand towards the goal of becoming the global leading provider of workforce solutions in energy and tech.
“I am extremely excited to join a global organisation that values diversity,” said Jeanne, who has vast experience across multiple energy sectors and regions. “As the lead for US, I am looking forward to working with energy and technology companies, connecting talent with opportunities, and developing workforce solutions for companies across multiple energy sectors.”
Jeanne’s background includes supporting major capital projects with engineering and recruitment services across the USA and global workforce programs in the UK, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Middle East. Her appointment is one of several major new roles within Visuna, which is headquartered in the North East of England.
The company has recently promoted David Bolton to the role of chief operating officer (COO) as part of a drive to nurture talent internally. Having rebranded in 2022, Visuna has also recently diversified into the lucrative renewables and tech sectors as it continues to expand at a rapid rate.
The firm currently has a global talent pool of over 150,000 skilled energy and tech sector specialists, and besides the US and UK, it also has offices in energy sector hotbeds like Australia, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which allow the company to tap into the industry’s global staffing needs by offering workplace solutions in oil, gas and renewables.
There are exciting plans afoot to double the workforce in the next few years, while Visuna is also growing its presence in America with the base in Houston – the country’s oil and gas capital. Pivotal to those plans is the appointment of Jeanne, and the firm’s new COO said the team were “thrilled” to have her onboard.
David said: “Jeanne brings with her an enormous amount of priceless experience, and she is the perfect person to drive us forward in the US as we continue to make waves in this market.
“Her appointment is a real game changer for our company, and we are delighted she’s joined the Visuna team at what is a really important point in our journey.”
