Specialist recruitment company Sellick Partnership has announced another key senior promotion to aid strategic growth plans, whilst also highlighting the importance of wellbeing in the workplace. Rayhaneh Tehrani has been promoted to Associate Director after joining the business in 2010 as a Resourcing Consultant, specialising in public sector legal recruitment.

Over the last 14 years, Rayhaneh has been concentrating on the locum South East market, and in 2018, the Legal London team was formed with Rayhaneh at the helm. Over the last five years the team has grown, both in headcount and market share, establishing Sellick Partnership as the go-to recruiter in the London Locum Legal market.

Last year, the Legal London team had their best year on record, leading the local government legal recruitment market within London. The team worked on several exclusive campaigns with organisations from local government to universities and charities. This is an area that has developed considerably over the last five years and has enabled the team to grow and focus on strategic plans for further growth in the future.

The first 6 months of 2024 have seen the team go from strength to strength, with them working on several high-volume recruitment campaigns, as well as breaking into new organisations.

Touching on the growth of services provided, Rayhaneh said: “This is a personal milestone for me, and something I had really set my sights on. Growing new service offerings is key to the overall growth of the business, and I am delighted to be able to contribute to that.”

Earlier this year, Rayhaneh was instrumental in forming Sellick Partnership’s Wellbeing Team, focusing on improving mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. Now a team of 4 with representation across the business, the Wellbeing Team has implemented several initiatives and are currently working towards becoming a certified menopause-friendly workplace.

Whilst the Wellbeing Team initially focused on internal stakeholders, Rayhaneh began discussing this with clients and candidates, before shortly realising the need for a wellbeing strategy within every organisation. As a result, Rayhaneh will be delivering a session on wellbeing in the workplace this summer and the team has plans to extend this offering.

Later this year she will be delivering another seminar to senior legal professionals in partnership with a membership body, highlighting the importance of the work that Rayhaneh and the Wellbeing Team are doing, and sharing good practices.

Speaking about her promotion, Rayhaneh said: “I’m over the moon, this is such an exciting time for Sellick Partnership and for myself. The growth of the team, increased permanent recruitment offering, and the development of new business is key to our success as a business. In addition, focusing on enhancing the wellbeing of our employees, as well as that of our clients and candidates is something I’m extremely passionate about.

“I am dedicated to fostering a culture of wellbeing and continuing to promote a healthy workplace environment where every individual can thrive, both personally and professionally It’s also an additional offering from us to our clients and candidates, highlighting the commitment and value we place on our partnerships. It’s not just about filling jobs.”

Speaking about Rayhaneh’s promotion, Group Director Laura Hayward, said: “I personally feel very lucky to have Rayhaneh as part of the Legal team and to have worked with her so closely over the last 10 years or so; she is incredibly hard working, pushes herself out of her comfort zone, and is constantly looking at ways to improve, all of which have contributed to her career development and success so far!

“With Rayhaneh at the helm, the Legal London team have really solidified their position as the top legal locum recruiters in the region, whilst also growing their permanent offering and expanding into new sectors. I am proud of what Rayhaneh has achieved, she is the definition of consistent, and is so very deserving her success.”
