Recruitment consultancy, Smart Solutions Group has acquired specialist professional services and digital sector recruitment agency Heat Recruitment Ltd to give the Group its first presence in the Manchester market.

Heat Recruitment will continue to trade under its existing brand name with its 10-strong team continuing to operate from its office at Arkwright House, Parsonage Gardens in Manchester city centre.

With offices in both Bristol and Manchester, Heat Recruitment supplies talented permanent and contract staff to businesses within the professional services and digital sectors. It will now be working alongside Cardiff headquartered Smart Solutions, one of the UK’s leading recruitment agency groups for temporary recruitment, offering tailored workforce management solutions across a wide range of sectors both nationally and globally.

The deal forms a key part of Smart Solutions’ growth strategy as it targets growth across the north and the doubling in size of its Manchester operation. On the deal, Heat Recruitment’s CEO Steve Preston commented: “In aligning the two company’s capabilities and expertise, we are creating an organisation where both parties benefit from one another. Smart Solutions Group was founded in 2007 and with this new acquisition has an annual turnover in excess of £120m. The integration of the companies brings with it a collaborative pool of resources, which couples the professional services offered by Heat and the expansive back-office functions within the Smart Solutions Group.
