AI powered recruitment platform Gaia, formerly known as Socially Recruited, has been named as one of the UK’s best tech firms to work for in the 2024 Culture 100 Awards. The awards recognise and celebrate companies with outstanding workplace culture and Gaia has been selected as part of this year’s esteemed cohort following a recent assessment.
The rigorous selection process involved surveying over 20,000 employees from more than 5,000 organisations, and reviewing current and future employee initiatives to identify the companies that have created the best and most progressive working environments.
Gaia was launched earlier this month following the successful merger of social media recruitment platforms Socially Recruited and socially, and currently has more than 40 staff in offices in London and New York.
The newly-created tech brand enables both private and public sector employers to identify, engage and attract ‘passive candidates’, who have directly relevant skills and experience, before they’ve even started searching for a new job.
Born out of seven years of rapid progress in machine learning, Gaia is powered by an AI engine which analyses nearly four million data points to recognise, reach and recruit people perfectly suited to each vacancy. Ultimately, helping employers attract the right candidates to the right roles.
While Gaia’s mission is to make the experience of applying for a job as quick and simple as buying something on Amazon, it also seeks to help businesses save time and money by connecting them to ‘needle in a haystack’ candidates who aren’t actively seeking a new job.
In 2023, prior to the Gaia rebrand, Socially Recruited used AI technology to generate 4.3 million candidate applications for major employers including Amazon, Lidl and Jaguar Land Rover, and placed adverts that were seen by 589 million people identified as strong potential candidates
“The success we have enjoyed as a business over the past seven years is down to the brilliant people we employ and the fantastic work that they do every day,” says Ben Keighley, Co-Founder of Gaia. “We firmly believe in creating an environment that makes their job as easy and as enjoyable as possible, and building a culture that is inclusive, nurturing and empowering.
“Much like our clients, we face the usual business challenges in attracting and retaining talent, and it’s fantastic to know that we have created an environment that makes that job a little easier,” he adds. “We are very proud of that achievement and delighted to be recognised by Culture 100 as one of the best places to work in the UK.”
