The award-winning agency DMJ, one of London’s largest talent search firms placing governance and legal professionals in private practice and in-house roles, has announced its merger with Briefed, a barrister-led training, compliance and technology business.

The merger sees the formation of a compelling integrated client offering for DMJ’s partners in the legal and corporate governance markets. Chief Commercial Officer, David Press said: “DMJ coming together with Briefed is a win for everybody – most importantly for our valued clients. DMJ was founded on taking the time to get to know both our corporate clients and candidates. By adopting a consultative approach, we not only match people with their perfect roles but also with their ideal environments. The partnership with Briefed means we can now also provide high-quality training, compliance, technology and leadership support alongside our best-in-class talent search services. We are already in discussion with clients about how we can support them on critical issues such as the forthcoming Sexual Harassment legislation and addressing topics like Baby Loss and Equality & Diversity in the workplace.”

The merger follows the recent acquisition of Briefed by Omni Partners, which acquired DMJ in July 2022. Briefed, founded in 2012 by experienced barrister and Northern Irish entrepreneur, Orlagh Kelly, delivers bespoke business-focused advice and training on key employment and compliance legislation that helps organisations meet their regulatory requirements and increases employee effectiveness.

Steven Clark, Founder of Omni Partners, commented: “We have always been impressed by DMJ’s long-standing client relationships and are excited about the additional value they can create for clients by offering access to Briefed’s portfolio of services. We see a real opportunity for the combined business to become the industry leader in providing full-service talent management that helps legal, corporate governance and compliance professionals match their talent with opportunities whilst supporting their professional development and growth at all stages of their career.”
